Information Technology Services (ITS) is UNCG's central technology organization, providing computing, communications, data services, and technology planning.

 

Spotlight

Wireless Refresh Image Wireless Refresh Project

The University is using Aruba equipment for the next cycle of wireless refresh. This will allow ITS to design a long-term, sustainable wireless network that operates as efficiently and cost effectively as possible. The upgrade also provides for nearly ubiquitous, full campus coverage.

UNCG Outsources Student Email to Google

UNCG ITS has completed the move of student email to the new iSpartan service. iSpartan is UNCG's implementation of Google Apps for Education and was selected as the email system for all UNCG students following a Google email pilot involving 3,000 students. iSpartan replaces e-Spartan (Lotus Notes) as the University email system for students.

Student Laptop Initiative Student Laptop Initiative

The Student Laptop Initiative is an exciting program offering students the latest in technology with on-campus service and support at discounted prices. This initiative is aimed at enhancing academic and student life at UNCG, and equipping students for the 21st century.
