The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is one of the sixteen campuses of The University of North Carolina, the birthplace of public higher education in America. Administered by President Erskine Bowles and overseen by The UNC Board of Governors, each campus is headed by its own chancellor and Board of Trustees.

Chancellor Linda P. Brady was named UNCG's 10th chancellor in a unanimous decision by the UNC Board of Governors on June 12, 2008.
